” S ” / necklace, bracelet etc… / silver925 and 20K gold
100 pieces of “S” made of silver925, and a piece made of 20K gold. They have identical shapes, but I stamped serial numbers to give them individual character. By combining each piece like a puzzle ring, you can make necklace or bracelet etc…of your favorite length.
“Percentage Sterling silver (silver925)” / Necklace / pure silver, pure copper, silver925 (chain)
92.5% silver(Ag) and 7.5% copper(Cu). This is standard alloy for silver and it’s called sterling silver. I combined 92.5% of pure silver bar and 7.5% of pure copper bar. If it’s melted, it makes an alloy of silver 925 = sterling silver.
“Percentage 18K gold (gold750)” / Necklace / pure gold, pure silver, pure copper, 18K gold (chain)
75% gold(Au) and 25% mixture of silver(Ag) and copper(Cu). This is standard alloy for gold, and it’s known as 18K gold or gold 750. I combined 75% of fine gold bar and 25% of copper : silver (5:5) bar. If it’s melted, it makes an alloy of 18K gold = gold 750.
“Smile and Tears” / Necklace / 18K gold, oxidized silver925, silk string
“Earclip Earring” / Earclip or earring / 18K gold
Is this an earclip or an earring? As you prefer.

You see the truth in the mirror. Who are you?

“The Slaves of Jewelry” / Ring / oxidized silver925, copper

” 100 directions ” / pin / steel, silver925 (pin back)
As many heads, as many wits. – 100 different shapes of pins.
At Schmuck 2014 during my last day in Munich, I visited one of the exhibitions I enjoyed most. ”Mass” was at Micheko Galerie where, among others, I saw jewels by the artist I present to you today: Akiko Kurihara. She says ”I expect that humor in my work would connect me to a person wearing my piece, as well as to people seeing the piece.” She absolutely achieves this goal.
