Isabelle Fustinoni

I studied jewellery in the 80s*, and since then I create unique pieces, between sculpture and finery.

I have a passion for Black Africa, and I was initiated to different silversmith’s trade local techniques during several stays in Zanzibar and Dakar ; it influenced a lot my work.

I associate in my créations noble substances, industrial materials and natural elements (metals, mechanical pieces, stones, wood, bones, horn, seeds, feathers, shells, …), I like to transform and to ennoble the simplest elements.

Uniting in a poetic way contemporary and traditional manners, I shape elements coming from here and there, trying to reveal their hidden beauty.
