Lecture with Marc Monzó in Taller Perill

Last Wednesday, the Taller Perill had the pleasure of joining Marc Monzó’s lecture which gave us a wide and chronological explanation of his work as a jeweler since his beginnings at the Massana School up to the present.
Monzó explained how, since he was young, he was attracted by little objects. This passion followed him along his trajectory, being reflected very directly in his work.

His ability to synthesize is relevant because, as part of a complex of ideas, he is able to express the maximum with the “minimum” in terms of shape, material and color.  In fact, he says that one of the most exciting things in his work is when there is an “egemonia” between contemporary jewelry and commercial jewelry.
His nihilistic attitude, improvisation, intuitive process and provocation, together play an important role connecting each moment to his jewels as well as to a reality where imagination, the act of play, and the need to express have important roles in the way he works.
During the talk, Marc showed us different “facets” of his evolution in professional life.  That’s how we discover the curious child still there inside him and we wish that he never stops playing and continues to surprise as he did that afternoon.

    Hi dear Montserrat!

What a lot of nice photos you have taking and add at your blog, it looks interesting and I’m a fan of Marc Monzó.
It seems that you had a great evening with a lot of colleges.

I hope everything is fine with you and that you create a lot of “nice” works.

I’m working for money right now and don’t have time for my own stuff as much as I want, but I try me best to catch up what’s going on and then the internet is super. I can see what’s going on around the world and that absolutely fantastic, you are one of the places/blogs that I regular visit to see what’s happen and get inspired by.

Keep up the good work and enjoy life and creativity!

With love and thoughts, kramkram Paula.
